wet sounds

January 1st, 1990 Posted in Poetry

drip drip drip
the ears listen
the mind wanders
but eventually returns
to the dripping

my head is going everywhere
yet returns
to the sound of water falling
in tiny amounts
rythmically
sequenced at a slow tempo
that soothes
and eliminates worry

if you concentrate real hard
to forget all
except
the drip drip drip
