The Man…The Legend…A Great Documentary on Bukowski

Just watched this the other nite and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who wants to watch a man that took everything that life had to offer after being spit in the face throughtout.

I have read Buk more than any other writer and admired him from the minute I began. You will be hard pressed to find a more raw and direct human being to have walked the earth. Prior to this film I had never seen live footage of him. Only photos and audio. It was great to be able to see him in all his swagger and glory.

There are some star studded interviews that include Harry Dean Stanton, Tom Waits, Sean Penn, and Bono tells of a great story of Buk going to a U2 concert.

So slide the disc in the player, pop open a cold one…to be followed by another one immediately after finishing the previous and enjoy the show.
