sudden fall

January 1, 1990

as I sit here
alone
and let the unfiltered thoughts
pass through my mind
I am scared

scared of the future
scared by the little things
that add up one by one
like simple math
and paralize my mind momentarily

somehow after time
the smoke clears
the blood pressure drops
the drink becomes drained
and all is back to normal
