playing chicken with god

January 1, 1990

i’ve escaped death once again
but know my luck
can’t last much longer

i challenge fate
on a daily basis
and don’t understand
why life gives me
the chances of a cat

when i cross the line
of normal order
i’ve been slapped quite hard
only to let time heal
my misfortune
which i am doomed
to soon face again
