Create a Lifestream Using Pageflakes

If you haven’t already read my post on Lifestream – Could it be the next big thing , then take a look to familiar yourself with the concept. There have been a slew of Startpages that have started to really mature lately. They currently provide the best mashup platform to be used for a Lifestream. I thought it would be a good idea to provide what I believe is currently the quickest and simplest platform independent system to allow for someone to create a Lifestream they could share with others.

Lifestream – Could it be the next big thing?

I had already started pondering how we use so many sites on the web that stored information helping define who we are prior to writing “10 Web Widgets to Share Interests on Your Site“. That post goes into the concept of sharing information to provide insight to others and ourselves, but just adding web widgets and badges from sites isn’t a very elegant way to present the information and doesn’t offer much flexibility. I was already starting to plan the creation of a page that would provide this content in a clean fashion using RSS feeds.

Wordpress K2 Theme Styles, Mods, Guide and Tips

After considering the massive number of current themes available for Wordpress I’ve recently decided to go with the K2 theme. One of the main reasons I chose it is because it is a very flexible theme that allows you to make quite a few changes without having to edit the actual code. It also supports the automattic widget plugin. The latest version which I am running actually has its own included widget functionality which in my mind is better than the automattic version.

Super Bowl Ads, Betting, Statistics, and Other Info

This year’s Super Bowl match up has a pretty subdued atmosphere. The teams aren’t rivals, and there really hasn’t been any trash talking. One of the reasons is the respect they have for each other and the very talented head coaches. I’m not too excited and I’m from Chicago. Maybe it’s because Indianapolis has consistently been a good team that finally made it to the big dance. Now that they’re here, hopefully they won’t become the Bills of the new millinneum. As far as the Bears, well they are just being compared to that amazing squad from 1985 and there is no way to meet up to those expectations. Nothing to see here, move along.
